Sometimes, people would "name" God in regard to how He revealed Himself in their circumstances. For example, Hagar in the wilderness named God "You are the God who sees". Lately, I have "named" God. I have been going through a difficult time and feel like all I can do is hold onto the promise in Ezekiel 34:26
I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. And I will cause showers to come down in their season; they will be showers of blessing.
So far, the showers have not come and neither has blessing so I am still stuck in this "desert of the soul". But I do have a new name for the Lord. He is the "God of I will". He promises us what He will do what He promises but we have to hang on until the promise is carried out. Often, this is not in our timing. It is not in my will (which would be immediately) but in the "God of I will" in His timing and in His way.
I do not know what God may have promised you in life. Some of your prayers may have been unanswered for years. But hold onto the "God of I will" and He will give the blessing and He will cause showers to come in the time He has marked out. He will. Hold onto the "God of I will".
